In addition to offering vital expertise on the Psoriasis Association Medical and Research Committee, reviewing grant applications and advising the Trustees on the Research Strategy, Professor Griffiths has shown unwavering support towards the information production and awareness raising teams. Projects Professor Griffiths has worked with us on include the Q&A videos regarding psoriasis and COVID-19 (filmed at the start of the pandemic), numerous Awareness Week activities (including the Parliamentary launch of the See Psoriasis: Look Deeper report) and giving the guest oration for our 50th Anniversary Conference.

On awarding the Honorary Life Vice President position, Psoriasis Association Chairman Nick Evans said “The Psoriasis Association has benefitted greatly from Professor Griffiths’ support and involvement over many years. He was first awarded a research grant from the Psoriasis Association in 1998 and has been a supportive friend and colleague to the charity for many years. We are grateful for his commitment and dedication to our work during this time and look forward to continuing our association.”

On receiving the award, Professor Griffiths said “I am humbled and honoured to receive this recognition from the Psoriasis Association and delighted that I can continue to serve the organisation”

We are delighted that the Psoriasis Association will continue to benefit from Professor Griffiths’ knowledge, experience and insights of psoriasis, including the research agenda, approaches to treatment and understanding of the condition and welcome him to the position of Honorary Life Vice President.
