Treatment updates

We have recently been provided updates from the manufacturers of Elocon Scalp Lotion, Elocon Ointment, Diprosalic Scalp Lotion and Silkis Ointment.

Elocon Ointment and Scalp Lotion

Organon Pharma have confirmed there were issues with both Elocon Ointment 100g and Elocon Scalp Lotion 30ml, but both of these should be back in stock from week commencing 19th July, although it may take a few days to reach the pharmacies once reordered through Alliance Healthcare Wholesalers.

Diprosalic Scalp Lotion 

Diprosalic Scalp Lotion is out of stock until the week commencing 27th September.

Silkis Ointment (Calcitriol)

Galderma, the manufacturer of Silkis Ointment (Calcitriol), have today confirmed that the treatment is discontinued.

We have received the following statement from Galderma:

"Galderma has taken the decision to discontinue Silkis®. As such, we encourage you to consider alternative therapeutic options for your patients. Silkis® has been out of stock due to manufacturing/technical difficulties encountered, for certain batches, in meeting the finished product release specification for viscosity. Batches circulating in the UK supply chain continue to meet specification. A limited quantity of new stock – that also meets specification – will be available from around early August 2026. However, no further Silkis® will be available after this small amount of new stock has run out."
