Following Derma UK’s recent acquisition of Ceanel Concentrate medicated shampoo, the necessary re-development of the product has taken significant steps forward during 2024.

Re-developing such a heritage product has presented a number of complex challenges which Derma UK continue to address, to enable Ceanel to meet today’s pharmaceutical quality and safety standards.

During this continued process, do be assured that Derma UK remain in active communication with the Psoriasis Association and are passionate about bringing Ceanel Concentrate medicated shampoo back to market.

Derma UK will be Derma UK will be in a position to release further information in late-2024.

During this transitional phase, we recommend individuals affected by the unavailability of Ceanel Concentrate medicated shampoo consult their GP or Pharmacist to explore suitable alternatives.

Curatoderm Lotion & Ointment

In July 2024, Almirall informed us that Curatoderm Lotion was discontinued early in the year and is now out of stock.

Additionally, Curatoderm Ointment has been discontinued and stocks will be depleted by the end of 2024.

Almirall has stated this was a business decision, but could not provide the reason for discontinuation.

Betnovate & Eumovate

In late 2023, we were made aware of a possible stock issue with Betnovate cream following reports from some of our members that the product had become difficult to obtain.

We contacted the manufacturer of Betnovate Cream, GSK, and they have confirmed that there has been a delay with manufacturing with both Betnovate and Eumovate.

The dates for these products to return to market are:

• Betnovate ointment 0.1% 30g – available September 2024
• Betnovate cream 0.1% 100g – available late July 2024
• Betnovate cream 0.1% 30g - available August 2024
• Betnovate RD ointment 0.025% 100g - available late August 2024
• Eumovate ointment 0.05% 30g - available August 2024

Psoriderm Cream

After reports of stocks issue concerning Psoriderm Cream, we contacted Dermal Laboratories Limited at the end of July 2024.

Although Dermal Laboratories are progressing with reinstating its’ supply, due to an unforeseen delay Psoriderm Cream should be available again in early Autumn 2024.

Please note that Psoriderm Scalp Lotion Shampoo remains available.
