I've suffered with Psoriasis for quite a while now, on most parts of my body.

I was 5, and the doctors immediate response was 'it's just eczema, it's common' and he never gave me any ointment or cream for it. Over time is gradually got worse and worse and it eventually spread, so I went back to the doctors. They kept on telling me It was eczema each time I went back, so my mom changed my doctor. My new doctor referred my to a dermatologist who diagnosed me with Psoriasis. Now I have the right ointment for it x =)

I have had psoriasis for the past 2 and a half years, it has affected my self confidence and body image and generally the way I live, due to

my psoriasis started on my feet and looked kind of like shingles so when I went to my GP I saw a temp doctor and she just gave me some shingles treatment, which obviously didn't work. I went back a week later and saw a different doctor who knew that it was either psoriasis or eczema but he wasn't a specialist so couldn't clarify which one, a month or two later I was referred to a dermatologist and even she couldn't decide which one it was until about 3 months later, but even now, 2 years after, I'm still looking for a treatment that works xx

I have recently been affected by two types of psoriasis; guttate psoriasis&plaque psoriasis. It has spread allover my body, including in my h

I got guttate and plaque psoriasis around four/five months ago which started in my groin, following to my armpit. Once going to the doctor I was diagnosed with scabies, although in the process of using the prescribed cream my psoraisis was quickly spreading. I then had another appointment with the doctor, which then he diagnosed me with eczema, giving me eurax cream and tablets which made it no better. It was only around a month ago I was diagnosed with the two types of psoraisis. Few creams and hair treatments have been prescribed although none of them seem to be making it any better.

No, i wasn't diagnosed with eczema originally. I've had psoriasis since I was 10 and I'm 16 now. I was diagnosed with psoriasis only when I was 14 and until then I was told that I had seborrheic dermatitis.

LOL! yessss! I was told it was eczema! In fact, the first person who 'diagnosed' me with psoriasis was my aunty- and she's not even a doctor! :P But I think the gels and stuff they give for eczema and psoriasis are pretty similar- I got given dovobet for eczema and psoriasis- not that it worked either time -_-

Yes

I have psoriasis but I never knew this until a few years ago. Ever since I was younger (from when I can remember) I was always at the doctors for my skin. And for 10 years they said that it was eczema. All the creams they gave me never worked. Then I moved from Bristol to North Yorkshire where I was finally taken seriously which lead to a doctor telling me I had psoriasis in a blink of a second. This made me incredibly happy that there could be finally a chance to help it but also so annoyed that for 10 years of my life I was told it was eczema!
