Hi My Name is Lauren and I have been suffering with Psoriasis since I was 14/15 and I am 16 now. The process has been quite a struggle especially at the begin ig and trying to get use to the fact of having the condition. My specialist has now suggested that I try to use the UV Light Therapy. Hopefully all goes well and improves.

I was 10, i had just moved from Dorset to Jersey, it was not the greatest, but with the help of Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital & Jersey General Hospital (Pediatrics) i pulled through the worst of it okay.

felixelix, maybe it was the move that set it off? Ive heard that times of stress can trigger pso. Gd to hear you got it treated, though, must have been quite bad if you were at St Ormond Street?

For 5 years, I've battled with psoriasis on my scalp, under my arms, and random other places. After years of different medications, steriod

Well...it started as 2 patches on my head when I was 11..I didn't know what it was and I didn't see the doctor till I was 14..so I guess I've only really had it and known that it was psoriasis since last year...around this time...

Had it since I was six in my scalp, now I have it on my back, stomach, arms, legs, scalp and face

First got it in my scalp when I was six, I'm now fourteen and have patches on my arms, legs, face, scalp, back, stomach and chest :( But most of the time I just forget about it, it doesn't really affect my life, sometimes people ask me if it's contagious or say 'Why don't you use Head and Shoulders?' (you think I didn't try that?!) but yeah it's just something you deal with.

Yes

I started when I was 9 after having a throat infection. I develop plaque psoriasis and guttate psoriasis (a rare type) it was all over mny body and face and i got bullied. I'm 13 so now at high school and it's gone of my face so I don't get bulied now but I will never forget all the light treatment and creams and not eating certain foods.
