Would you like to help shape the work of the Psoriasis Association?

Would you like to help shape the work of the Psoriasis Association?

The Psoriasis Association is currently looking to recruit new Trustees. If you are over the age of 18 and passionate about making life better for people with psoriasis, you may have the skills we are looking for!

As a Trustee, you play an integral part in the good governance of the Psoriasis Association. Meaning that alongside your fellow Trustees you help to ensure that the organisation remains viable and sustainable whilst our work adheres closely to the main objectives of the charity.

We want to appoint new Trustees to build on the skills of the current Board (currently consisting of 12 Trustees) and are seeking people who are committed to making a difference and building a strong and effective organisation for the future.  We actively encourage people to apply who will bring different backgrounds, perspectives and lived experience, as well as a range of skills.

How will being a Trustee benefit you? In addition to you contributing to a cause you really care about, being a Trustee can benefit your career or professional development.  Strategic experience gained through being a Trustee can help develop your critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.  Our Board of Trustees is made up of people from diverse professional backgrounds all of whom bring ideas, skills and networks making this a fantastic opportunity to develop your interpersonal skills, improving your prospects whatever stage of career you happen to be on.

"Being a Trustee of the Psoriasis Association is a real honour. I've met some wonderful people on the board and all we do is conducted in a respectful, thoughtful and well governed manner. If you care about this organisation and want to support, it into its future, please do consider putting yourself forward to become a Trustee" – Karina Jackson, Nurse Consultant, Psoriasis Association Trustee.

We can offer training in areas relevant to the role.

What is expected from me?  The Trustee role is voluntary (out of pocket expenses can be reimbursed) and you would be expected to attend three Trustee meetings per year, plus the AGM.  Meetings are held both online and in-person.
